Dr. Trish Sullivan, Ed.D.

Smiling teacher stands in colorful, welcoming classroom.

Teacher, mother, educational researcher

Dr. Trish Dykes-Sullivan grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She made Atlanta, Georgia her home in 2016 where she worked as a Catholic school teacher in grades kindergarten through 5th, gaining over 15+ years of experience. Her love for teaching and learning developed when she noticed the joy on her students' faces when they mastered a new skill.

She has a bachelor's degree in elementary education, a master's degree in teaching and Leadership, and a doctorate degree in educational leadership and administration. She also holds a principal certification. She believes that educators are lifelong learners and strives to stay up the date with the ever-changing world of education.

Dr. Sullivan transitioned out of the classroom to become a stay-at-home mom to her three children. One of her toddlers is a former 25-weeker, Hydrocephalus warrior, who spent 105 days in the NICU. The NICU experience motivated her to become an advocate for children with disabilities. Caring for and teaching her children in a home setting is what encouraged Dr. Sullivan to open a micro-school.
